Quick plum sauce as a great addition to meats
Do you love hot sauces that give meals the right touch? Of course you do! Little bit of spicing can hurt no one and this spicy sauce that we want you to make seems to be very popular.
Plums are great as a base for a mild or chili sauces but they also offer a great taste and the right texture. So, we shall tell you how to make a plum chili sauce. Nothing complicated.
Few ingredients
All you need is enough plums. The riper they are, the sweeter they are and you need that because you do not want to add any sugar to make them sweet. You will also need the following ingredients:
- plums, about half of a regular basket. We used two pots,
- sugar,
- a little vinegar,
- ground cinnamon,
- cloves.

Easy preparation
First of all, you need to wash plums thoroughly and remove all stones. If you see plums riddled with worms, throw them away. You definitely do not want worms in your sauce. That is, if you are not craving the extra protein. Just kidding. Cook plums thoroughly and when they are cooked, use a blender to mash them well. Now, you add sugar, vinegar and cinnamon or cloves. (Cloves are optional). If you want hot, add peppers just like we did. We added an extract from the famous Carolina Reaper. When done, strain sauce through a sieve and pour it into glasses. Turn them upside down and let them cool down.

No canning process required
That is right. Just pour the hot sauce into canning glasses and leave them up side down. They will last in a cold dark room for a very long time, even a year. We love both the spicy and non-spicy version.
