Interesting tips to grow tomatoes
There is nothing better than home-grown tomatoes from your own garden. Yes, tomatoes are available in many varieties in any supermarket, but if you want the real thing, you need to roll up your sleeves and grow your own, and when the summer comes, you will appreciate the taste of home-grown tomatoes. In this article, we shall show you few simple tricks how to grow your own tomatoes. Most tomatoes need stakes or a supporting system. Here are some tips that you can use.
Circular tomato cages
First, plant tomatoes in the soil and then slide a circular tomato cage over each plant. Insert the lower part of the cage equipped with spikes into the ground and place the plant roughly in the centre of the cage. If you want to improve the stability you can add another support inside. A wooden stake will do, but you can use a stake made from any material if it is sturdy enough. Hammer the stake into the ground and tie it to the cage with a metal wire. For even greater stability add more stakes to the cage.

English hedge from tomato plants
Tying tomato plants to wooden, or any other, stakes is a standard procedure. Hammer stakes to the ground and tie tomatoes to them as usual, but this time try to take this technique to the next level and build a hedge out of tomatoes. Drive a few stakes into the ground next to each other and stretch strings or a net along – add several horizontal strings so, you can gradually tie tomatoes to it as they grow. This technique is easy, and once your tomatoes grow, you will have a tasteful decoration.
Garden mesh fences
If you want to use this technique every year you need a sturdy structure. To do so, buy a metal mesh structure with poles and you can “weave” tomatoes into the structure. To make sure that the plants will not fall, add a few strings and tie them too.
