Organic products are very popular these days, but how can you tell between a real organic product and the one that only pretends to be organic? If you want to be hundred percent sure you’d better start making your own and today we shall tell you how to make one from an exotic spice – star anise.

These beautiful eight-pointed stars are the fruit produced by bstar anise tree (Illicium verum) ( ) which comes from Asia. It was originally imported to Europe as a cheaper substitute for the real anise, which is very similar in taste, but lacks the distinctive aroma. Star anise offers a number of health benefits, but the antibacterial and antifungal properties are especially good for your skin. We shall also mention that the active substances of star anise positively affect the production of sebum.

How to make star anise facial mist

You will not need many ingredients. Just two spoons of star anise and one glass of water. Try to use well-preserved and undamaged fruits that contain the most valuable substances. First, crush the fruit well – for example in a mortar and pour a glass of hot water over it and let it cool. Strain the mixture and put large pieces back in the mixture to make it look nice.

Pour the mixture into a bottle. Apply it to your face several times a day using a cotton swab. Pay particular attention to areas where wrinkles form or those that show increased production of sebum. Star anise can help you with both problem areas.

You can also make tea from star anise. It is good for digestion

Use one spoon of star anise (about 10 grams) and put it in a pot. Pour in two cups of hot water and boil for 10 minutes. Strain and use it as a relief for sudden digestive problems or as a prevention . If you use it as a preventive measure, drink it before each meal. It is very helpful when you ate too much or when you experience flatulence.
