There is a plethora of proven meat recipes. However, even a master chef can sometimes make meat that is dry and not so delicious. So, what is this one recipe about?

The success of this recipe

If you put meat in the oven and do it right, it will not only be very juicy, but it will also have a crispy crust that we all want. For example, potatoes baked in oven are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, right?

Preparation is easy

This recipe uses a marinade made of mayonnaise, garlic, mustard and olive oil and it will turn almost any dish into a culinary masterpiece. It will not take long time to prepare , so  those who do not have time for complicated cooking must try it .

Get the right ingredients

High-quality ingredients make the difference and will determine whether you will be successful or not. Have you ever tried corn-fed chickens or chickens from organic farm? No? Well, now is the time to bet on quality that will lead you to success.

  • 1.5 kg of chicken wings and thighs
  • 1.5 kg of potatoes
  • 3 large onions
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 4-5 tablespoons of olive or sunflower oil
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tablespoon of mustard
  • salt and black pepper
  • ground sweet pepper
  • green onion as garnish

Start with the spicy stuff

Peel onions and cut them into half rings and place the half rings in a bowl. Take another bowl and mix mayonnaise and mustard in it, add olive or sunflower oil and mix everything thoroughly. Add crushed garlic, salt and pepper to your preferences. Mix everything with and whisk it until you achieve a smooth consistency.

Mix everything together

Wash meat thoroughly. Mix the chicken meat with the sauce you just made, add onion rings and mix with your hands. Let the meat marinate for several hours. Wash potatoes (choose potatoes of roughly the same size if possible), peel and cut them into rings, about 5 millimetres thick. Line a baking tray with a baking paper and put the meat and onions on it first and then the potatoes.

You are almost done

Mix everything again to make sure that potatoes are covered with the meat marinade too. Sprinkle meat and potatoes with ground red pepper. Cover the tray with aluminium foil and put it in the oven. Preheat to 200 degrees and bake for about 25-30 minutes. When done, remove the foil and put the baking tray back in the oven for another 20-25 minutes. Potatoes and meat should be golden brown. Before serving, sprinkle with green onions.
