Fertilizer made from banana works!
Sometimes, we all forget to take care of our indoor plants and if they wither or “look” sick you may think that it is too late to save them, but proper care and the right dose of nutrients can work miracles.
As soon as your plant starts to wilt or shows other signs of problems, you need to act quickly. Do not wait. Check the soil/roots first, because flowers often wilt from over-watering rather than from insufficient watering. If you see brown roots (inside), it means that roots are rotting. Remove all rotting roots ruthlessly. They will not recover. Transplant the plant into a new flower pot with new soil.
Bananas are loaded with nutrients
You can buy all kinds of emergency “potions” that are designed to help plants quickly, but you do not need to buy them if you have regular bananas at home – and the riper the better. Peel it and mash or blend the pulp.Mix with water (about 300 ml per banana ) and use it as fertilizer.

Our tip: If you are fertilizing your houseplants, a good idea is to strain the mixture well or work the fertilizer into the soil, otherwise unpleasant fruit flies will soon be swarming around your flower pots .
Making fertilizer from banana peels takes some time
If you want to use the peels, you are going to need about one day for preparation. First, choose the really ripe ones (preferably with brown spots), put them in a suitable container and pour water in. Let it sit for 24 hours, strain and use for watering.
