Coffee sediment as an elixir for indoor plants

Coffee sediment

Are your houseplants dying and you would like to help? Of course you would. There are few ways you can try and you do not have to run to special stores to get expensive fertilizers. As you know, you can often use what you have at home. A typical example is ordinary coffee sediment which may be used as a fertilizer for houseplants and other plants as well.

Your plants will thank you

Coffee grounds contain a lot of useful substances that your houseplants appreciate. That includes minerals such as potassium, nitrogen, phosphorus and others. This is a real vitamin blast – once you mix it with soil.

Elegant and inexpensive insect repellent

Coffee grounds also work as a repellent. Spread sediment around flower beds and watch how this trick repels certain types of insects such as the much-hated aphids. They will leave your garden soon. That also applies to ants and snails. Gone. A good idea is to add coffee grounds to your compost every now and then. This will speed up decomposition and the smell of coffee will attract earthworms.

Try washing your hands with coffee grounds and finish with soap. You will see that this method is highly effective and that the smell will disappear. Coffee grounds can also help you in your kitchen to remove grease from pots and dishes and if you put it in your refrigerator you will eliminate unpleasant odours too. A little bit of coffee sediment is enough.
