Boring baked potatoes? Add additional ingredient and turn them into a delicacy
Baked potatoes are popular everywhere and it should be no surprise. They are simple to make too. Clean potatoes well, cut them into quarters and sprinkle with your favourite spices. If you add a little bit of oil or other tasty fat on top you turn them into a delicacy.
However, even great baked potatoes can become boring after while so you need something to improve them a little. Have you ever heard of tartar sauce potatoes? Did you not? Well, here we go.
Tartar sauce potatoes are easy to make
The initial steps are the same as with baked potatoes , but before you place salted potato quarters on the baking sheet, mix the potato quarters in a bowl with oil and tartar mixture spices. For 700 grams of potatoes, you will need about three tablespoons of tartar sauce, one tablespoon of oil, a teaspoon of smoked paprika and salt and pepper to your taste.

You need high baking temperature
Always place the tray in a well heated oven. Preheat to 220°C and bake for the first 10 minutes. Then lower the temperature to 180°C and bake until golden. In total, the potatoes should stay in the oven for about half an hour to forty minutes.
Do not forget to turn potatoes several times during baking to make sure that they are golden brown on both sides. Serve as a side dish to meat dishes, but they also go great with vegetable salads or even alone! . Enjoy while they are still warm. Cold baked potatoes lose their magic.
Cooking tips
Always bet on smoked paprika because the regular spice will not improve the taste much. Avoid using virgin olive oil for baking. High temperature destroys olive oil. You may use rape, sesame oil or animal fat. Different fats change the taste slightly. So, watch out.
