Do you want to have a peaceful and undisturbed sleep every night? Well, nature can help you achieve that. You probably heard from your grandma that no one should sleep with plants in one room, nevertheless, the experiences of many speak quite differently.
The first research on this topic was done already in 1979 and it was a study done by NASAthat proved that many plants can remove formaldehyde, benzene and other pollutants from the air! Lavender induces a peaceful sleep

Although lavender is not a typical houseplant, it can also live on your window sill. You need to provide a bright light and regular but medium watering because lavender can start wither easily. It is a delicate plant that brings the desired calmness to the bedroom, and will please all sleep-loving people, which includes all of us. Keep in mind that it can spread quickly and that it needs constantly moist soil. If you let it dry out, you may not be able to revive it.

TIP: If you prefer moist air put a bowl with wet pebbles in your bedroom and you will increase the air humidity easily.

You will fall in love quickly with this plant, mainly thanks to itselongated pointed leaves with typical and coloured veins. It is also a very undemanding plant and it will be satisfied with a partial shade but it needs rather frequent watering. If you believe in this Eastern philosophy, then this plant with spiked leaves is probably not for you , otherwise the snake plant is a great air purifier that doesn’t need much to grow. It grows slowly and with good care (especially moderate watering) it usually lasts for decades.

The spider plant is a kind of forgotten companion. This plant is probably the best one if you want to clean the year in your bedroom. It has bright green leaves, but you can also get other varieties of this plant, even with orange petioles. It spreads rather quickly and creates decorative curtains. It is also very undemanding and forgiving plant as it will live through shorter droughts, if you forget watering for example.
